Why IPv6 Is Important

IPv4 (e.g., 192.168.1.1) is the Internet’s original protocol. However, its addresses have been exhausted since 2019. Today, obtaining an IPv4 address is expensive, which affects the prices charged by web hosting providers.

IPv6 (e.g., 2a01:cb00::1) is its successor. It offers a virtually unlimited number of addresses, reduced latency, and native connectivity without NAT. It is the modern standard.

At NeoHeberg, we've chosen IPv6: every VPS is deployed with a dedicated IPv6 address from our own address range. The result: lower prices and a future-proof infrastructure.

IPv6 at NeoHeberg

IPv6 is included by default

All of our VPS servers come with a native IPv6 address. No configuration is required: your server is immediately accessible via IPv6.

IPv4 (optional)

Do you need an IPv4 address for a specific service (e.g., certain game servers)? A dedicated IPv4 address is available as a paid option.

Proprietary address range

We own our own IPv6 address block. No outsourcing: your IP addresses are truly yours, on our infrastructure.

Lower prices

By prioritizing IPv6, we reduce our infrastructure costs, and we pass those savings on to you. Our VPS plans are among the most affordable on the market.
